Cellular EDGE models carry a built-in eSIM, so alarms go out in more than 170 countries without depending on the site's network. One map-based dashboard shows every location, from vaccine fridges and freezers to motors, pumps and HVAC equipment watched for predictive maintenance.

No gateway, no IT project

EDGE and BLOCK devices connect directly to ordinary WiFi, and cellular EDGE models to their built-in eSIM, so there is no proprietary gateway, hub or bridge to install and maintain. Patented power management (US Patent US11455877B2) gives these loggers up to 3 years of battery life on 4 AA batteries on WiFi models (up to 2 years on cellular). Customers install them with zero technical support, and the data goes straight to LF Cloud.

Beyond the logger: shipments, water meters and water quality

Three product lines cover jobs a fixed data logger can't do: proving shipment temperatures, reading water meters over cellular and watching water quality at remote sites.

• Single-use NFC temperature loggers: Microthermo records every 10 minutes in transit, and a tap with the free LoggerFlex NFC app uploads the full history to LF Cloud, with no gateway, WiFi or SIM.
• Cellular water meters: an ultrasonic water meter with a built-in 4G LTE data SIM managed by LoggerFlex that sends one report a day with leak, burst and fault alarms, with no WiFi, gateway or wiring, for water submetering in buildings.
• Remote water quality monitoring: one LoggerFlex Data Concentrator per site reads up to eleven parameters, from dissolved oxygen and pH to turbidity and residual chlorine, and alerts unlimited recipients by push, email, SMS or phone call.

LoggerFlex pairs NIST-traceable calibration on its EDGE temperature probes with LF Cloud records that support FDA 21 CFR Part 11 and HACCP programs, and data from every device goes to our servers in Canada. When a site needs a mapping study before choosing sensor locations, LoggerFlex ships a DIY temperature-mapping kit (9 or 15 points) and LF Cloud produces the Temperature Mapping report, and LoggerFlex builds digital twins that show every sensor in place across rooms, floors and sites.

Frequently asked questions

What happens when the WiFi goes down?

Nothing is lost. WiFi devices keep recording locally and upload automatically once WiFi is back. Cellular EDGE models also roll over from WiFi to LTE on their own and keep alarming through outages — USB-C powered with AA battery backup, and you get a power-outage alert too.

Will IT push back?

There's nothing for IT to host — no gateway, no server, no inbound ports. WiFi devices join the network like a phone and send TLS-encrypted data straight to LF Cloud. Cellular EDGE models can skip your network entirely: they connect over their own built-in LTE. Setup takes under a minute.

Will this survive an audit?

EDGE Pharma probes ship with NIST-traceable calibration certificates, which are optional on other EDGE probes. LF Cloud meets FDA 21 CFR Part 11 requirements for electronic records, audit trail and electronic signatures, with HACCP corrective-action logs and inspector-ready reports generated automatically.

Who changes all the batteries?

Probably nobody you'll meet soon. Our patented power-management algorithm (US Patent US11455877B2) runs up to 3 years on 4 AA batteries on WiFi models and up to 2 years on cellular models, depending on settings, signal, temperature, battery quality and the number of alarms.

What about recalibration?

Swap sensors, not devices. Calibration lives with the sensor, so you never ship hardware to a lab — the cloud shows certificate validity on-screen and reminds you before expiry.

Do we pay per user?

No. Unlimited team members, unlimited alarm recipients, one source of truth. Adding the night shift costs nothing.

What happens if we stop paying?

WiFi devices roll to the free Standard tier automatically — live monitoring, alarms, and your last 45 days of data, free for life. Premium adds unlimited history, advanced reports and sharing back whenever you need them. Cellular devices need their yearly plan (CA$36, about $3 a month) to keep receiving data.
