No gateway, no IT project

EDGE and BLOCK devices connect directly to ordinary WiFi, and cellular EDGE models to their built-in eSIM, so there is no proprietary gateway, hub or bridge to install and maintain. Patented power management (US Patent US11455877B2) gives these loggers up to 3 years of battery life on 4 AA batteries. Customers install them with zero technical support, and the data goes straight to LF Cloud.

Beyond the logger: shipments, water meters and water quality

• Single-use NFC temperature loggers: Microthermo records every 10 minutes in transit, and a tap with the free LoggerFlex NFC app uploads the full history to LF Cloud, with no gateway, WiFi or SIM.
• Cellular water meters: an ultrasonic water meter with a built-in 4G LTE data SIM managed by LoggerFlex that sends scheduled reads and real-time leak alarms, with no WiFi, gateway or wiring, for water submetering in buildings.

LoggerFlex pairs NIST-traceable calibration on its EDGE temperature probes with LF Cloud records that support FDA 21 CFR Part 11 and HACCP programs, and monitoring data resides in Canada. What happens when the WiFi goes down?

Nothing is lost. WiFi devices keep recording locally and upload automatically once WiFi is back. Cellular EDGE models also roll over from WiFi to LTE on their own and keep alarming through outages — USB-C powered with AA battery backup, and you get a power-outage alert too.

Will IT push back?

There's nothing for IT to host — no gateway, no server, no inbound ports. WiFi devices join the network like a phone and send TLS-encrypted data straight to LF Cloud. Cellular EDGE models can skip your network entirely: they connect over their own built-in LTE. Setup takes under a minute.

Will this survive an audit?

EDGE Pharma probes ship with NIST-traceable calibration certificates, which are optional on other EDGE probes. Records are cryptographically signed and immutable for FDA 21 CFR Part 11, with HACCP corrective-action logs and inspector-ready reports generated automatically.

Who changes all the batteries?

Probably nobody you'll meet soon. Our patented power-management algorithm (US Patent US11455877B2) runs up to 3 years on 4 AA batteries while keeping a high sampling rate and real-time alarms. Display models typically run 2–3 years.

What about recalibration?

Swap sensors, not devices. Calibration lives with the sensor, so you never ship hardware to a lab — the cloud shows certificate validity on-screen and reminds you before expiry.

Do we pay per user?
